Co-directors Nick Louvel and Michele Mitchell recently returned from a successful visit at the Texas Christian University campus in Dallas/Fort Worth. It was Film at Eleven’s third visit to the campus as a part of our first university partnership!
During two public events, Nick and Michele screened clips from both “The Uncondemned” and “The Water War”, and participated in a Q&A session with the audience. In order to engage the students beyond the screening, Nick and Michele lectured in multiple classes as well. The goal of the week was to share our story with the TCU community and to work closely with the TCU students interested in filmmaking and human rights to see how they can could be involved in the production of “The Uncondemned.” Interns Alexa McKim and Haylee Vieregg are leading this effort and are already working on the next event!
The week ended with a tequila tasting on Saturday night at the Blue Mesa Grill with John Singleton, TCU’s Director of International Services, and other members of the TCU community. One of the highlights of the night was when Mike, one of the servers at Blue Mesa, sang “My Way” by Frank Sinatra Film at Eleven style!
Thank you to the TCU Quality Enhancement Program’s Student Media team, and Discovering Global Citizenship Program for working with us to plan such a successful week!
